In college, my English professors gave kudos for long (but properly done) sentences! Hard habit to break! :)

About 1/2 way through the book ... very engaging and different style of writing. One quirk the writer has is incredibly long sentences ... and long chapters. From one who just has to finish a chapter before turning out the lights at night, I've been forced by drooping eyelids to change my reading habits ... as sometimes I just can't make it to the end before having to give it up and turn out the lights. He does a good job of making LaJoy the villian with the single scene of ordering expensive wines at the neighborhood restaurant.

I'm with you Linda. I have taken over the side porch of our house. I love the pictures of my kids & my two granddaughters on the shelf behind me, plants and the window at my side. Though when sitting I can not see out, I like the light of day to shine in through the colored glass antique plates. These things do fade away when I write.I don't have any ivory like Jane A. but it sounds cool. I like pictures of my characters and the places they go. Searching mags for the right faces is a fun research.
This is an interesting article, enjoyed the reading. Hope you ladies have a good day.
